Artificial intelligence

My current work on AI combines building, writing, teaching and speaking. I have built products that use agentic workflows, taught entrepreneurs, business executives, lawyers, journalists and students how to build with AI, and prepared private leadership briefings on AI in classifieds, digital commerce and payments. I explore how AI is changing businesses, the internet and our lives through Reasoned and my Artificial Intelligence page.

Writing and journalism

I founded MediaNama and have written more than 6,000 articles across MediaNama, Reasoned, TechNik and elsewhere. My work covers technology, business, AI and public policy. The wider publication record is available on the Writing page and Muck Rack.

Public interest and policy

I led the SaveTheInternet.in campaign for Net Neutrality in 2015 and co-founded the Internet Freedom Foundation. I have deposed before India's Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology on Net Neutrality, social media regulation and paid news, and participated in technology policy and telecom consultations with government ministries and TRAI.

Speaking and media

I have spoken at TED, Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Columbia University, IIT Kanpur, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, RightsCon, the World Economic Forum, MozFest and other public forums.
